2008 wrap up and an update
JAN:spent new years in times square, competed at ACTF for irenes came in second in the room i was in, which means nothing...
FEB: started officially dating Karson
MAR: "drat! the cat!" opens and closes
APRIL: :my first cabaret opens and closes
MAY: turn 21, Karson visits for two weeks, and we open "brenda bly: teen detective"
JUNE: promoted at ann taylor
JULY: spent a week at a cottage with the family
AUG: open "and the world goes round"
SEPT: start senior year and CLOSE "and the world goes round"...thank Jesus
OCT: um...i was where's waldo's girlfriend for halloween...does that count as an update?
NOV:open and close (for the time being, we were selected to bring the show to compete at ACTF next week) "trojan women". i stepped down at ann taylor.
DEC: Karson is done in south korea and was home for a month, but is now out in washington state, stationed in yakima.
i am frantically and stressfully planning out auditions for after i graduate...this year...oh my gosh...what?! i'm going to OTA, ITA, and some others, i hope. lots of stress this year, but nothing that's so unique to me and nothing i can't handle. i leave for ACTF wednesday, so i get to see some good ole huntington people, so that will be nice. i was cast in a showcase of seniors that is going to new york in the spring, maybe chicago also...we'll see. i'm off to a benefit performance of trojan women to aise money for the trip to ACTF...so more later.

| second semester wrap up:
-went to nyc, times square for new years.
-moma, spring awakening, blue man group
-moved into 5206D with katie nabors, jennifer stallings, and kim herbst
-kate purefoy in drat! the cat!
-wrote and starred in my very first (and prolly not my last) cabaret
-went on my first professional audition
-was humbled
-scrambled to find an apartment...a cheap one.
-was humbled again
-wanted to go home
-missed my family
-contemplated being a redhead
-gotten my ass kicked by the head of the dance department
-been sunburnt twice by april 23
better than fist semester in my opinion...senior year....bring it on

| i have a friend who introduced me to that cute little saying. and as i stand here at midnight, thinking about how i can't register for classes because i have holds on my account that won't clear until tomorrow and the wrinkles that are creeping their way slowly onto my face (it doesn't help that everyday for the past week, i've had to make myself into a 50 year old version of myself...guh...).
and then the extreme optimism cara enters the room (let's just call her cara joy...clever huh), thinking that i have some baby wrinkles coming in because i smile a lot, because i have a lot in life to be thankful for. also that i am not able to register for classes now, but everything will work out and that i am fortunate enough to be able to pay off my bills and be going to school for something that i love and really at all.
now that i'm way less worked up about everything...i'm gonna go to bed, because i have one, i can, and i have to (scratch that, i GET to) go to work tomorrow..er...today.

| i'm a theatre performance major...right?
i guess to be more correct, i'm a bfa musical theatre major. my future plans thus far include auditioning, moving to chicago and seeing what happens. no real sense of certianty in any arena of my life.
one would think that i have very little room to talk about being levelheaded, concerned about money, impulsiveness (i feel like my shoe collection alone can attest to that), but i feel like i've met my match. she makes me look like a law student. while most of us are scrambling to find summer jobs and apartments, she's homeless in a month and looking at taking out another student loan to go backpacking through europe for the summer. "money is just money, i already have a lot of loans to pay off, what's 5 more years?"
oh...ok.
